Rachael Pressley

Assistant Regional Planner

Rachael joined the WUPPDR team in May 2018. She was born and raised in Alaska and attended Michigan Tech, earning her Bachelor of Science in Geology in 2014. Since then, Rachael has interned for the North Carolina Geological Survey, and worked for University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI.  She returned to the Upper Peninsula with her husband and son in May 2018 and started working at WUPPDR immediately. Rachael’s planning work focuses on food planning initiatives to facilitate regional economic and community development.  She also leads the Western Upper Peninsula hazard mitigation plan updates for six counties and the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community.

Rachael enjoys spending time outdoors, trail hiking, gardening, beach combing, and portrait photography. She is excited to become part of the WUPPDR team.
