2019 Community Marketing Mini-grants

Many communities recognize the value of marketing to attract new residents, businesses, and tourists; however, they often lack the financial resources and expertise to develop professional marketing plans and materials. Supported by the 2019 Regional Prosperity Initiative (RPI), WUPPDR is offering grants to reduce or eliminate this barrier. The grant application period is now closed and contracts with the recipients have been signed.

The 2019 Community Marketing Grants have been awarded to the following projects:

  • Baraga County – Branding Phase I
  • Carnegie Museum of the Keweenaw – Marketing/Branding project
  • Chassell Township – Chassell Marketing Materials
  • City of Bessemer – “Be You” Live, Work, & New Business Marketing Campaign
  • City of Ironwood – Ironwood Marketing
  • Copper Harbor Trails Club – Copper Harbor Trails Billboard
  • Iron County Economic Chamber Alliance – ICECA Community Website Development Project and FIT Assessment
  • Keweenaw Land Trust – Improving Web-based Tools to Expand Public Recreational Use of Keweenaw Land Trust Nature Areas
  • Keweenaw Young Professionals – Relocation Assistance Initiative
