Flood Risk Information Survey - CLOSED

A survey has been released to better understand local flooding concerns and current community flood preparedness.

WUPPDR, Houghton - Keweenaw Office of Emergency Measures, and Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Natural Resources Department are partnering with researchers from Michigan Technological University and the University of Washington to develop tools to reduce community risk and improve modeling for future flooding events.

We are asking that any Houghton, Ontonagon, or Baraga County resident take a short online survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/frs2021

Paper surveys are available at city, village, and township halls, county clerk’s offices, and public libraries. The survey will be available until Friday, April 2, 2021.

For more information or a paper survey, contact Rachael Pressley, Assistant Regional Planner, at rpressley@wuppdr.org or (906) 482-7205 ext. 116.
