Houghton County Recreation Committee Releases Public Recreation Survey
Houghton County is developing a new Five-Year Recreation Plan for 2026-2030. Members of the public are being asked to fill out a survey to determine recreation habits and recreation site usage in Houghton County. The survey’s goal is to collect information on the types of recreational opportunities and sites community members would like to see developed, maintained, and/or improved. This information will help prioritize funding and increase the county’s understanding of community recreation needs.
The survey also gives the public an opportunity to give feedback or suggestions on the proposed improvements to recreation sites in Houghton County. Individuals can fill out the survey online or on paper. You can access a copy of the paper survey from the Houghton County office. Public responses are due September 31, 2026 and are confidential; survey results will be included in the final draft of the 2026-2030 Five-Year Recreation Plan.
